What voters need to know
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., using the customary time at each county seat, and any voter in line at closing may vote (s. 100.011, Fla. Stat.). Gulf County straddles the time-zone line, but its Supervisor of Elections says all its polls close at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT). Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the county Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on Election Day: a receipt deadline, not a postmark rule (s. 101.67). The one exception is overseas voters, whose ballots count if postmarked or dated by Election Day and received within 10 days (s. 101.6952(5)).
