Good to know
- Recall repairs are free at an authorized dealer, even if you bought the car used.
- Not every car of a model year is in every recall. Your VIN shows whether yours is, and whether it's been fixed.
- If a recall says "do not drive" or "park outside", follow it until the repair is done: those are crash and fire risks.
Recalls come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall database, with the list of models updated October 7, 2026. A recall applies to some vehicles of a model year, not always all of them: your VIN tells you whether yours is included and if the free repair has been done.
