When do polls close in Rhode Island?

Polls close at 8 p.m. statewide; they open at 7 a.m. everywhere except New Shoreham (Block Island), where they open at 9 a.m. Mail ballots must be received by the State Board of Elections, or be in an official ballot drop box, by 8 p.m. on Election Day (Nov. 3); this is a receipt deadline, not a postmark deadline, and every polling place also has a drop box for voted mail ballots.
