What voters need to know
Under KRS 118.035, polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. prevailing (local) time, and everyone waiting in line at 6 p.m. may vote. Mail-in absentee ballots must be received by the county clerk by the 6 p.m. poll-closing time on Election Day: a receipt deadline (KRS 117.086).
