Polls in New York close at 9:00 PM ET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
What voters need to know
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and voters who are in line before closing must be allowed to vote. A mailed absentee or early mail ballot must be postmarked by Election Day (Nov. 3) and received by your county board of elections no more than a week later (by Nov. 10); you can also drop it off at your county board of elections or any Election Day poll site in your county by 9 p.m. on Nov. 3.
