Polls in Idaho close at 8:00 PM local time on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, between 10:00 PM ET and 11:00 PM ET, depending on where you vote.

What voters need to know

Polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, so the northern counties on Pacific time close an hour after the rest of the state; Idaho law also lets a county clerk open polls at 7 a.m. Anyone in line to vote by 8 p.m. may still vote. Absentee ballots must reach the county elections office or an official drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted.
