Polls in West Virginia close at 7:30 PM ET on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
What voters need to know
Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and voters who are in line at the polling place at closing time must be allowed to vote. A mailed absentee ballot counts if it is postmarked by Election Day (Nov. 3) and received by the county clerk before the county canvass begins on Nov. 9; one with no postmark counts only if it arrives by Nov. 4. Hand-delivered absentee ballots must reach the county clerk by Monday, Nov. 2.
