Forecaster's note

October 6 – October 10: High-pressure over the region persists as a HEAT ADVISORY has been issued for inland locations for Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties through 10PM Thursday. By Friday, a weak low pressure system should swing through and bring temperatures down to seasonal levels. At the coast expect some patches of fog; however, a compressed marine layer will give way to sunny conditions by mid-morning. Temperatures will range from the high-50s to the high-80s at the coast and high-50s to low-100s inland. Despite elevated temperatures inland, ozone production will be at normal
