Good to know
Republic Services' national holiday-schedule page is an address lookup with no list we could read, so these entries come from its local pages, which differ: Boise, Idaho, observes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas; Rockwall, Texas, the same without the Fourth; Martinez, Calif., only New Year's Day and Christmas. The shared rule is that if your pickup day falls on or after an observed holiday, it is delayed by one day, and Boise's page adds that weekend holidays cause no delay. Your city's contract decides, so look up your address on Republic's site.
