Good to know
The Department of Licensing posts a dated list of driver licensing office holiday closures (2026 is current) and says closures may vary by office. Offices run either Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday; for a Monday holiday the Tuesday-to-Saturday offices close the Saturday before instead. Washington's state holidays include Juneteenth, Veterans Day and Native American Heritage Day (the day after Thanksgiving), but not Election Day. Vehicle licensing offices are separate, locally run offices with their own hours.
