Good to know
The Department of Safety says Driver Services Centers are closed on all state holidays and points to Tennessee's official holiday list (2026 is posted, plus New Year's Day 2027). Tennessee takes the Friday after Thanksgiving in place of Columbus Day, observes Good Friday and Juneteenth, and in 2026 adds Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. County clerk offices and self-service kiosks that handle some license services keep their own schedules.
