Good to know
We couldn't read the RMV's own pages (mass.gov refused automated fetches) or the Secretary of the Commonwealth's holiday list, so nothing here is an RMV announcement: closures rest on WBUR's holiday guides, which list the RMV closed on each Massachusetts legal holiday, and on the University of Massachusetts' copy of the 2026 legal-holiday list. Massachusetts also closes state offices on Patriots' Day (third Monday in April) and Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day, and it observes a Saturday holiday on the Saturday. Confirm on the RMV's site before you go.
From the Massachusetts RMV's holiday list or its state's holiday schedule, checked October 7, 2026. "Expected" days follow its past practice until it announces them. Office hours · All holiday hours
