Florida issues driver licenses mostly through county tax collector offices, and each tax collector sets its own holiday calendar; offices run directly by the state (FLHSMV) follow Florida's nine paid state holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas. Counties differ most on Presidents' Day, Good Friday, Juneteenth and Christmas Eve, so check your county tax collector before you go. FLHSMV's own site and the state's HR holiday page couldn't be read with normal fetches, so the state days here rest on the paid-holidays statute and on sample county calendars (Hillsborough and Polk). Eligible drivers can renew online through the state's MyDMV Portal on any day.
