Before you go
- Check your flight's status with your airline: it knows about crew, aircraft and gate problems the FAA doesn't track.
- Ground stops and ground delays usually show up as departure delays at the airport you're leaving from.
- Airlines often waive change fees when the FAA runs a ground delay program; check your airline's travel alerts.
From the FAA, checked every few minutes, and the National Weather Service. The FAA status covers delays it manages, not a single airline's problems.
