Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Macan 4 Electric vehicles. The front seat air bags may be improperly secured to the backrest frame, which can prevent the air bags from deploying properly.
Risk: An improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury during a crash. In addition, an improperly secured air bag may project loose components into the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Dealers will inspect and repair the backrest frame screws as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on September 26, 2025. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ASA7.
Enter your 17-character VIN on NHTSA's site to see which of these recalls apply to your car and whether they've been repaired. Repairs are free at any Porsche dealer.
Recalls come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall database, with the list of models updated October 7, 2026. A recall applies to some vehicles of a model year, not always all of them: your VIN tells you whether yours is included and if the free repair has been done.
