Daimler Coaches North America (Daimler Coaches) is recalling certain 2026 Mercedes Benz Tourrider Business and Premium transit buses. The door control valve may not release the self holding mechanism, preventing the door from opening.
Risk: A door that cannot be opened can prevent or delay passengers from evacuating during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
Fix: Daimler Coaches will replace the door control valve, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 2, 2026. Owners may contact Daimler Coaches' customer service at 1-416-624-3558. Daimler Coaches' number for this recall is 72.40U26365A.

Recalls come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall database, with the list of models updated October 7, 2026. A recall applies to some vehicles of a model year, not always all of them: your VIN tells you whether yours is included and if the free repair has been done.
