Parking brake
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2023-2024 F-650 and F-750 vehicles. The parking brake may malfunction and allow the lever to be released without pressing the release button.
Risk: A parking brake that is released unexpectedly may result in a vehicle roll away, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Fix: Dealers will replace the parking brake handle assembly. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 17, 2024. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S09.

Enter your 17-character VIN on NHTSA's site to see which of these recalls apply to your car and whether they've been repaired. Repairs are free at any Ford dealer.
Recalls come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall database, with the list of models updated October 7, 2026. A recall applies to some vehicles of a model year, not always all of them: your VIN tells you whether yours is included and if the free repair has been done.
